Course Descriptions

The Department of Biological Sciences at Northern Kentucky University offers a wide variety of courses for our students. These courses cover life from the molecular level to their intricate relationships in the global ecosystem. We provide classes that explore the total range of living organisms including bacteria, algae, fungi, plants and animals.

Many of our courses include large amounts of hands-on learning, both in the well equipped laboratories of our new Natural Sciences building and in the field. Many opportunities are available to our students to work with our faculty one-on-one through undergraduate research projects.
